John S. Backof, D.D.S.
Dr. John Backof graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and then received his dental education at Temple University School of Dentistry. He is an active member in the American Dental Association and Pennsylvania Dental Association, and is past president of the Lancaster County Dental Society. A long time member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Backof is very active in the New Holland community as past president and member of the New Holland Kiwanis Club. He is a retired colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve.
Melissa B. Della Croce, D.M.D.
Dr. Melissa Della Croce received her undergraduate degree in Biology from King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She completed her dental education in 2006 at Temple University School of Dentistry, where she earned a Doctor of Medical Dentistry Degree. She is a fourth generation dentist, and proud to follow in the footsteps of the five men that graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry before her. Dr. Della Croce maintains membership in the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Lititz Ambucs and National Association of Professional Women. She is passionate about continuing education and as a member of PEAK, is working towards her fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Andrew D. Sieger, D.M.D.
A native of Lititz, PA in Lancaster County, Dr. Andrew "Andy" Sieger graduated magna cum laude from Penn State University in 2010. In 2014, he subsequently received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Temple University's distinguished Kornberg School of Dentistry, also graduating magna cum laude. Dr. Sieger completed his general practice residency at the Department of Veterans Affairs Northern California Healthcare System. His clinical experience included working closely with specialty cases including implant placement and restoration, full mouth rehabilitation, periodontal surgery and grafting techniques. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Lorie has been a dental assistant in this practice since 1994. She graduated as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) from Harcum College in 2009. She always makes sure to provide a relaxed and comfortable environment for our patients, ensuring a positive dental experience. When she is not working, Lorie enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
Sherry has been a Dental Assistant at Backof Family Dentistry since 2002, and has been placing fillings as a part of her Expanded Function role (EFDA) since 2009. She enjoys bein part of this warm and friendly team of skilled professionals, and she treasures serving the dental needs of this unique community. When Sherry is not at work, she loves spending time with her family, playing board games with friends, and relaxing with her cats and a good book.
Nicole has been a Dental Assistant at Backof Family Dentistry since May 2013, when she graduated from YTI. She enjoys getting to know our patients and giving them the best care. Nicole also works part-time at her parents’ candy store. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, reading, drawing and playing outside with her kids and dog.
Leslie graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, and has been working as a Registered Hygienist at Backof Family Dentistry since June 2012. She lives in New Holland with her husband and has two grown children. Leslie dedicates time for organizations that have impacted her life. Her interests include sports, music, cooking, reading and relaxing on a beach, but most importantly spending time with her loved ones.
Terri is an administrative assistant who joined the Backof Family Dentistry team in 2001. In her free time she likes spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends. Terri also enjoys flower gardening, going to the beach and traveling.
Carol has been an Administrative Assistant at Backof Family Dentistry since August 2000, and now primarily handles the business office duties of the practice. She previously earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, so enjoys patient care along with close friendships with our “dental patient family”. Carol lives near Lititz with her husband, and loves spending time with her grown daughters and family including two grandsons. Special times are spent enjoying family and friends in the Finger Lakes.
Dianna is an Assistant at Backof Family Dentistry, and is also the lead Administrative Assistant at the Front Desk. Dianna was born and raised in Western PA and moved to this area in 2002 where she attended HACC in the nursing assistant program. She joined the team in February 2006. She lives in Reamstown with her husband and two daughters. In her spare time, Dianna enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, going to the beach, and traveling to Pittsburgh to visit family and friends and watch all Pittsburgh sports!
Beth is a 2001 graduate of Harcum College with an Associate of Science Degree. She has been a Registered Hygienist at Backof Family Dentistry since 2007. Beth resides in Leola with her husband and three young boys. In her free time she is usually running someone to a sporting event or a school activity.
Anita, a Registered Hygienist, has worked at Backof Family Dentistry since 1989. She loves seeing the generations of families that call our office home. She and her husband enjoy taking motorcycle trips on their Harley. And of course, her children and grandchildren are her number one priority.
Diane graduated from Temple University School of Hygiene where she received the Ruth Heck Award for Outstanding Clinician. She has worked part time as a Registered Hygienist at our practice for over twenty years. Diane enjoys travelling and reading, as well as volunteering at Wellspan Ephrata Hospital. She resides in Ephrata with her husband and has two adult children.
